My name is Georgie and I am a free-spirited, lover of life and my passions lie in inspiring others, to improve their happiness through; a balanced yoga practice, positive vibes and good food. I trained in the northern mountains of India, in a region called Dharamshala. This inspired the creation of ‘The Knotted Yogi’ and where my journey as a yoga teacher began.
Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to share the beautiful practice of yoga in Sri Lanka and India too, teaching people from all over the world from all warps of life. My travels have given me a broad and worldly range of knowledge around the practice, shaping me into the teacher I am today. Growing up in London, I have been able to draw elements from a westernised yoga practice to cater to the needs of my students.
The combination of learning, practicing and teaching while following my Sri Lankan roots over the last 3 years, has cemented my love and passion for eastern values within my teaching.

Slow Vinyasa Flow- A practice using a variety of poses and creative sequencing, Vinyasa is a type of yoga that links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body.
Thursday | 20:00-21:00
Yin Yoga- Fewer poses held for longer periods creating a slow paced meditative practice which is much more suited to an evening class as it can help with sleep, relaxation and de-stressing at the end of a busy day. It requires stillness of the mind and body, which can sometimes be surprisingly challenging, so we use lots of oils and relaxing music to help clear a busy mind!

I have been fortunate enough to share yoga with the little people too, with ages ranging from two up to twelve year olds. Currently teaching regular classes at nurseries, schools and holiday camps. Using these playful humans to get creative; weaving stories, props and breathing techniques into a yoga practice.

“Georgie is a fantastic yoga teacher. I’ve practiced yoga for three years, and have tried several styles and disciplines, but Georgie’s is the most dynamic class I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk into the room, she provides an atmosphere, with candles and fairy lights to calming music and relaxing scents. No class is ever the same, and Georgie blends hatha, ashtanga, and vinyasa styles in her flows.
What makes her such a great teacher is her willingness to explain things. She’ll talk you through a breathing technique or an asana with ease. She also knows just how to push her students. I’ve been going to her classes for about nine months now, and she’s fantastic at reminding her students not to fall back into those pesky ‘bad habits’. In talking us through the breathing and the movements, Georgie always takes care to make sure that no one injures themselves, and will adjust everyone in the class to make sure they’re moving correctly.
