Namaste Friends,


My name is Georgie and I am a free-spirited, lover of life and I cannot wait to share the magical journey of yoga together!

As a passionate yoga instructor, my mission is to inspire others towards a happier and healthier life. If I’m an advocate for anything, its that yoga is a practice for all. I aim to guide students towards the best versions of themselves; through the magic of yoga.

I trained in Dharamshala, northern India, where my love of the practice started, but this was only the beginning of ‘The Knotted Yogi’s’ journey.

Since gaining my first qualifications, I have lived, travelled and taught in; London, Sri Lanka and India. This extraordinary combination of learning, practicing, and teaching, while following my Sri Lankan roots, has cemented my deep connection to eastern values of the practice.

Outside of teaching my other interests, include; long walks in nature, hula hooping, cooking up some plant-based creations and an oat coffee with a great read.

Corporate wellbeing is becoming a very necessary part of work life to support team moral & mental health. I can provide yoga sessions for your team or 121, whether you want to use the practice to recover and rehabilitate from injuries, start from foundations or simply fit in into your busy schedules!

CHILDRENS YOGA

Yoga is not just for adults! In fact, it can give children very important life skills that can help them succeed in the world. Yoga can help children with:

  • anxiety management
  • emotional awareness
  • self esteem and confidence
  • strength and flexibility

These classes are playful, creative and fun, giving them the space to laugh and be kids.

“Georgie is a fantastic yoga teacher. I’ve practiced yoga for three years, and have tried several styles and disciplines, but Georgie’s is the most dynamic class I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk into the room, she provides an atmosphere, with candles and fairy lights to calming music and relaxing scents. No class is ever the same, and Georgie blends hatha, ashtanga, and vinyasa styles in her flows.

What makes her such a great teacher is her willingness to explain things. She’ll talk you through a breathing technique or an asana with ease. She also knows just how to push her students. I’ve been going to her classes for about nine months now, and she’s fantastic at reminding her students not to fall back into those pesky ‘bad habits’. In talking us through the breathing and the movements, Georgie always takes care to make sure that no one injures themselves, and will adjust everyone in the class to make sure they’re moving correctly.

Aside from her fantastic yogi knowledge, she’s such a cheerful spirit and a joy to learn from and practice with! “

I’ve never been a fan of yin because it is so slow, but the way you lead us through it, I just felt so grateful for all the things that I have in my life.
